What we don't collect
- No location, contacts, photos, files or microphone.
- No payment details and no brokerage or bank accounts. The app doesn't trade.
- No advertising, no ad identifiers and no analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Who processes it
The app runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging and Hosting). It is distributed through Google Play. Google processes the data above on our behalf under its own terms and security controls. Data may be stored in the United States.
Why we're allowed to use it
Under UK GDPR, we use your sign-in and settings to provide the app you asked to use. That is the performance of a contract. We record your disclaimer acceptance as part of our legitimate interest in making clear that the app is for research only.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your sign-in, settings and disclaimer record straight away. Any residual copies held by our providers are removed within 30 days.
The shared research data (signals, the paper portfolio and the earnings calendar) contains no personal data. It stays when you delete your account.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. If you can't use the app, see how to delete your account.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do so, email privacy@beatdrift.org from the email address of your Google account.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
BeatDrift is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
